Gregory A. Cool, Sr., 74, of Mooreland, passed away at 9:00 am, on Wednesday December 31,2025 at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born in Muncie, Indiana, on June 13, 1951, to John A. and Mary "Eileen" (Houser) Cool.  On August 14, 1971, he married Jean Sellers, who survives.

Greg graduated from Union High School, Class of 1969. He worked as a carpenter and later locksmith for over 25 years at Ball State University until he retired in 1994.  He was a member of Blountsville Community Group and Nettle Creek Antique Truck & Tractor Club.

He really enjoyed farming and hunting, as well as collecting guns and knives.  Greg was also an avid Notre Dame football fan. He was raised Catholic and later attended Selma Christ United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Greg loved spending time with family, storytelling, and he may have been known to crack a few jokes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jean (Sellers) Cool of Mooreland; children, Hollie J. Cool of New Castle, Heather A. Cool of Muncie, Karri L. (Henry Altgilbers) Cool of Valparaiso, and Gregory A. (Michele Cool Warren) Cool, Jr. of Mooreland; brothers Bill (Linda) Cool and Joe Cool; sisters, Judy Beaty, Linda (Rick) Fouts, and Jennifer Reum; grandchildren, Amanda(Caleb) Antrim, Harlie (Quan Nixon) Hershberger, Lauren (Devyn) Wright, Derrick (Alex) Taylor, Brooke (Tay Lindsey) Taylor, Grant Morgan, and Collin Cool; nine great-grandchildren with one-on-the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie Felix-Smith; brother, Michael Cool; brothers-in-law, Charles Beaty and Keith Felix; sister-in-law, Patty Cool; and great-grandson, Dax Taylor.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Selma Christ Global Methodist Church, 9805 E. Jackson St., Selma, IN 47383.

Following visitation, scripture and prayer will be conducted by Rev. Dennis Rush.

A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
