Gregory Allen Johnson, 52, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Bethel Pointe Health & Rehabilitation in Muncie. Greg was born on December 2, 1957 in Muncie to Betty Jean Farrington and the late Jack F. Johnson. Greg is a graduate of Delta High School. On March 5, 1999 he married Kathy Marie Walters in Blackford County.
Greg worked for Dunkirk''s Indiana Glass. He also lived in California from 1991 to 1999 where he worked in a tubing factory. Greg enjoyed camping and fishing, gardening, reading fiction books, and sewing. He also loved nature and his four-legged animals. Greg was everyone''s handyman and in his younger days he enjoyed working closely with his father doing electrical work.
Greg is survived by his wife Kathy Johnson of 11 years; 2 daughters: Renee Walters of Portland and Christina (Collett) Jesperson (husband, Jesse) of Muncie; mother Betty Jean Johnson of Muncie; 4 brothers: Scott of Oceanside, CA; Brad of Muncie; Chris (wife, Ellen) of Muncie; and Rob of Muncie; 2 sisters: Marlene Pettiford of Muncie and Elizabeth Hase (husband, Gary) of Minnesota; several nieces and nephews; and his four-legged dog-friend, Gateway.
Greg was preceded in death by his father Jack Johnson and niece Shelby Johnson.
Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, has been entrusted with arrangements. Per the family''s request, there will not be a gathering in a visitation nor funeral service. Inurnment will take place in the new mausoleum in the beginning of 2011 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to ARF'', 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie.
