Gwen R. Wade's Obituary
Gwen R. Wade, 76, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Muncie, February 27, 1934, the daughter of Arthur R. and Lileth (Hoppes) Martin. She attended Cowan schools and Indiana Business College.
Gwen was employed by the Muncie Housing Authority for thirty years prior to her retirement, and earlier at Merchants Bank.
She attended Union Chapel Ministries
Surviving are four children, Larry Carbaugh, (wife, Kathryn), Eagle River, Alaska; Cinda L. Spoonemore, Cathy Herbert and Christy Brooks, all of Muncie; her sister, Rosemary Rees, (husband, Dale), Muncie; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several cousins.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and an hour prior to the services Tuesday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to ARF or the American Heart Association.
