H. Ed Haney, 88, of Selma, died early Tuesday morning, November 26th, 2013 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born January 31, 1925 in Muncie, and was the son of the late Harry H. & Meribah F. (Anderson) Haney.

Ed retired in 1988 from Delaware County Farm Bureau Co-op petroleum delivery. He was a member of the Desoto United Methodist Church, Selma Lions Club, Selma America Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose, and Parker F&A-M Lodge#630. Ed enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Janet E. "Dolly" Haney of Selma; a son David J. Haney (Denise) of Muncie; a daughter Janalie K. Markley (Mike) of Richmond; four step-children, William, Timothy, Shirley, and David Jordan; nine grandchildren, Stuart Haney, Weston Haney, Tyler Markley, Amanda Jordan, Zachary Jordan, Erica Jordan, Eric Jordan, Alyssa Jordan, and Amber White; one great-grandchild Emma Croyle; two brothers, Phillip Haney of Selma, and Hal Haney (Rhoda) of Albany. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Rosalie Haney (Glesing); four sisters, Helen Hunt, Betty Young, Dorris Cowgill, and Beverly Jones; two brothers , Robert and Joseph Haney.

Funeral Services for Ed will be held Saturday at Desoto United Methodist Church, 6309 North CR 500 East, Muncie, with Chaplain Phill Wills officiating. Burial will follow with military honors being conducted by the United States Army and the Delaware County Honor Guard in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call Friday, November 29th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A Lodge of Sorrow Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. by Parker F & A-M Lodge #630.Memorial Contributions may be made to the Desoto United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor''s choice.
