Harold Dean Rhonemus, 85, of Muncie, passed away peacefully at his home on August 9, 2025.
He was born in Muncie to the late Hubert and Betty Rhonemus and was a 1959 graduate of Royerton High School. Harold spent much of his life traveling the country as a proud union bricklayer. He retired in 2000 at the age of 60 from Local 19 after a long and dedicated career.
Harold enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, country line dancing, bird watching, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving partner, Mary Lavelle of Anderson; his daughter, Deana (Jerry) Vance of Muncie; his son, Troy Rhonemus and partner Jennifer Vandenender of Florida; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Devin, Shaylee, Macen, Taylor, and Justin; and four great-grandchildren, Oaklee, Aurora, Zoe, and Jaxxon.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joseph and John Rhonemus; and his sister, Rose Goodwin.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana, 47303. Military Honors will be presented at 4:30 p.m.
