Harold Wayne Vores, 76, of Middletown, died Tuesday afternoon, May 5th, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born February 1st, 1939 in New Castle, Indiana and was the son of the late Charles E. & Jeanette (Reece) Vores.
Harold retired from Delco Remy after 32 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Muncie Moose Lodge #33, UAW 662, Muncie FOE #231, and the American Legion Post 408. Harold proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army.
Harold is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline Sue (Choate) Vores of Middletown; a son and best friend Keith Vores (Cathy Swafford) of Anderson; step-daughters, Kristina Dix (Don) of Colonial Heights, VA, Jeri Lyn Taylor of Battle Creek, MI, Jerie Ann Sharp (Glen) of New Castle, Vivian Lee Cox of Muncie, Evelyn Kay Duncan (Bruce) of Monument, CO, Nancy Ellen Krenk (David) of Florence, KY, Glenda Dee Howell of Orlando, FL, and Colleen Sue Brown of New Castle; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; a brother Jimmie Don Vores of New Castle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Denise Vores Clarkson; a granddaughter Lacey Dawn Vores, a grandson Andrew Neal; a sister Phyllis Ann Vores; two brothers Gordon and Allison Vores.
Visitation for Family and friends will be held Friday, May 8th, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303. Funeral Services for Harold will be held Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
