Harvey B. Silvers, 86, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009, at Golden Living Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born, January 22, 1923, the son of Clarence B. and Shirley L. (Morris) Silvers, attended city schools, and served in U.S. Army.
Mr. Silvers was employed at CCA until his retirement. He also enjoyed carpentry and spending time with his family.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Rymer (husband, Marvin) and Darlene Friend (husband, Timothy), both of Muncie; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Jane Silvers; and a sister, Beatrice Rees.
Private services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
