Hayward W. Bush, 81, of Muncie, IN died at 10:20 p.m. September 6, 2007 at the home of his daughter.. Hayward was known as "Cliff" to family and "Curly" to his friends. He was born on March 28, 1926 in Manchester, TN the son of Ivy Monroe "Buster" and Elizabeth (Stacy) Bush. He spent most of his life in Indiana. On March 13, 1954 in Tipton, IN he married Mary Etta Bush who preceded him in death.
He retired from New Venture Gear in 1991. He had also worked at Durham Manufacturing and Ball Corporation.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Anita Mary Brown (husband: James) of Muncie; one sister, Olean Markum of Woodbury, TN; two granddaughters, Alanna Wenck (companion: Mike) of Westfield, IN and Amanda Sparks (husband: Dan) of Muncie, IN; three step-grandsons, James L. Brown, Jr. (wife: Holly) of Muncie; David Brown (wife: Karri) of Muncie; Michael Brown of Muncie; one sister-in-law, Brenda Bush of Albany, IN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three sisters, Faye Estes, Alma Hibbdon, and Alean Earls; and two brothers, John Bush and Alton Ray Bush.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday September 10, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Rev. Dale Brubaker will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and also from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ball Memorial Hospice, West Minster Village and many friends and family members who stood by during the time of need.
