Hazel C. Roberts, 94, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Muncie Health & Rehabilitation Center. Hazel was born on May 6, 1916 in Jamestown, TN to the late Luther and Pearl (Chism) Gilreath.
Hazel was employed with Ball Brothers for many years before retiring due to health aliments. Hazel was a member of the Red Hat Society at Muncie Health Care and she also loved to socialize and participate in many of their activities.
Hazel is survived by her loving son Cliff Roberts (wife, Sandi) of Muncie; grandson Greg Roberts; great-grandson James Parker; great-granddaughter Taylor Roberts; sisters: Nellie Orene Holt and Ruby Ina Bainter, both of Muncie; sister-in-law Eula Delk of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Lisa Roberts; sister Irene Whittenburg; and brothers: Willie Bill'' Gilreath and J.L. Manis.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Joey Prewitt officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
