Helen M. Greenwalt, 92, of Muncie, IN died July 2, 2007 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on April 2, 1915 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Levi and Pearl G. (Beall) Benn. On May 5, 1934 she married Charles Allen Greenwalt who preceded her in death.
Helen was a member of the Shawnee Heights Baptist Church. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star 104 and a past member of the Beauceant. Helen was very active in the RSVP and had been recognized for volunteering over 15,000 hours.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, LaBerta Concannon (husband: David) of Pine Grove, CA; one brother, L. Edward Benn of Florida; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one daughter, Laurella McKinley.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 11, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Hammans will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Garden View Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Shiners0 Hospital in memory of Helen M. Greenwalt. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
