Helen Lingenfelter, 73, of Lakeland, FL, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 with family by her side. She was born on July 31, 1936 in Sharon, PA to the late Raymond Ballard and Anna Spicko. On June 30, 1956 Helen married Robert C. Lingenfelter in St. Anthony''s Church in Farrell, PA.
Helen was the owner/operator of Daffins Candies in Muncie, IN. As well, Helen was a homemaker. She also was a former parishioner of St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Muncie, IN.
Helen is survived by her children: Lori Ann Lingenfelter (husband: William Stitt) of Lakeland, FL; Brenda Lynn Wolfe (husband: Jud) of Plainfield, IN; and Robert Alan Lingenfelter (wife: Angela) of Granger, IN; brother Harold Frye (wife: Fera) of Del Rey Oaks, CA; sister-in-law Eloise Ballard of Mercer, PA; sister-in-law & brother-in-law Shirley and Joseph Yatsko of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren: Robert Lingenfelter; Amy Lingenfelter; Theodore Lingenfelter; Corey Stitt; Cameron Wolfe; and Jessica Wolfe; and cousin and best friend Josephine Bellucci.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents: Anna Spicko Kezmic; Ante Kezmic; and Raymond Ballard; spouse Robert Lingenfelter of 41 years; an infant son; and brother Raymond Ballard.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009, from 12 noon - 2:00 p.m at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will also be on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Muncie, IN. Father Andrew Dudzinski will officiate the service. Entombment will be at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, the Alzheimer''s Association, and/or The American Heart Association.
