Helen M. McClain, 90, died at 7:34 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 in Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington.
Helen had formally lived in Hartford City, but had been residing at Heritage Pointe in Warren. She was born on December 18, 1917 in Hartford City to the late J. Earl Stanley and the late Grace May (Marshall) Stanley. Helen married Marvin T. McClain on December 22, 1968 in Hartford City. He precedes her in death on July 27, 1991.
She retired from St. Joe Container Company in Hartford City in 1982 after 46 years of service. Helen will be sadly missed by her step-son, James (wife, Lynn) McClain of Columbus, Ohio; step-daughter, Patricia (husband, James) Butcher of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; daughter-in-law, Ruth Parker of California; grandchildren, Michelle (husband, David) McNutt, Cheryl Kronk, Doug (wife, Kelley) McClain, Jamie Butcher, Jeff (wife, Nelle) Butcher; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Merrill (wife, Fostine) Stanley of Hartford City, Ray (wife, Linda) of Hartford City, Richard Stanley of Hartford City, Paul (wife, Sally) Stanley of Hartford City; sisters, Zelma Everhart of Hartford City, Mable (husband, Charles) Smith of Texas, Delores (husband, Ted) Paver of Hartford City, Karen Kitterman of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Duane A. Parker deceased October 2003; sister, Betty Dollar; brothers, William Stanley and Norman Stanley.
Visitation for Helen will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City.
Funeral services for Helen will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Keplinger Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Freel of Asbury United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
