Helen Peacock, 87, of Muncie, IN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 12:36 PM at Willowbend Living Center in Muncie. She was born on September 12, 1919 the daughter of the late J.A. and Laura (Duckett) Dennis.

Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she graduated with a B.S. degree in 1939. Helen also received a Masters degree from Ball State University. She was also a member and past president of the following organizations: the Art Students League, Alpha Psi Iota XI, Delaware-Blackford County Medical Society Alliance, and the Conversation Club. Helen was an avid tennis player and gardener. She was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include: a son, Robert A. Peacock of South Bend; two daughters, Sandra A. Pedersen (husband - Russell) of Muncie, Carol Horner (husband - John) of Selma; four grandchildren, J.R. Horner of Selma, Dylan Horner of Selma, Danielle Pedersen of Muncie, Sloan Pedersen of Muncie; a niece, Susan Gregory-Martin (husband - Edsel) of Mt. Airy, NC. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert C. Peacock, one sister, Ruth D. Gregory, and a brother-in-law, Overton A. Gregory.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN with Dr. Ronald L. Naylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the funeral home and from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Friday before the service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer`s Association, 9135 North Meridian Street Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
