Helen Lucille (Pitman) Carter, 92, passed away August 7th, 2025 to be with her Lord and Savior after a hard battle with Parkinson's.

Helen was born March 24th, 1933, the daughter of the late Wade W. Pitman and Anna (Perry) Pitman.

Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband Edward J. Carter and their son Michael, her sister Edith and their brothers Wade and Johnnie.

Helen is survived by her sister Doshie Ball, her son Darrell Carter, and daughter Linda Carter and grandchildren, Dustin Carter (Kassandra), Rodney Carter (Stephanie), Jay Carter, Denise Carter, Sarah Wyman, Samantha Carter, Olivia Carter, and Rachel Carter. She has 9 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, church family and many friends. Helen attended the LifePoint Church of God.

Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Helen's joy was her faith in God and her family.

Funeral services for Helen will be held Friday, August 22nd, with visitation from 11am-1pm and the funeral beginning at 1pm at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Prewitt officiating. Directly following the funeral she will be laid to rest in Gardens of Memory cemetery beside her husband and son.
