Helen Dolores York, 79 of Muncie, died Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Muncie. She was born January 9, 1939 in Jamestown, TN and was the daughter of the late Daniel W. & Stella (Owens) Winningham.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She loved being outside tending to her flowers and feeding the birds. Helen was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Church and retired from Rock Tenn after 32 years of service.

Helen is survived by her four children, Jerry R. York (Kim Jolley) of Selma, Jacqueline Marlow (Dean Masterson) of Crossville, TN, Susan Burke (Larry) of Muncie, and Rebecca Weir (Tim) of Muncie; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a sister Clata L. Finn of Crossville, TN; two brothers Arnold Winningham (Dean) and Eugene Winningham both of Jamestown, TN. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Ray York; granddaughter Laura Roberts, brother Rodney Winningham, and a sister Cleowanda Winningham.
