Henry H. Riley, 80, of Muncie, IN died Tuesday October 13, 2009 at Brownsburg Meadows in Brownsburg, IN. He was born on March 27, 1929 the son of James V. and Lena Mary (Hill) Riley. On November 12, 1949 at the Madison Street United Methodist Church he married Mary Jean Riley who preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Knight of Pythias #37. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed singing with the Wilmore Singers, collecting fire arms and being outdoors.
Surviving relatives include one son, Henry Riley, II (wife: Lori) of Avon, IN; two daughters, Peggy L. Hart (fianc: Kevin Brookshear); Mary Melinda King (husband: Mark); two brothers, Joe Riley and Stewart (Spike) Riley both of Veedersburg, IN; one sister, Florence O. Staggs (husband: Ancil) of Muncie, IN; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four special friends Joyce Case, Sally Campbell, Richard Staggs and LaRue Cross.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday October 17, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor David Wright and M. Steven King will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
