Henry A. Stevens, 89, of Selma, passed away Saturday December 15, 2012 after an extended illness. Born April 3, 1923, in Muncie, he was the son of the late James and Clemie (Wallace) Stevens. Henry was employed at Borg Warner as a tool grinder for 45 years until his retirement in 1989. He was also a local musician and played with the Black Mountain Boys on WLBC in the 1950''s.
Survivors include loving wife of 68 years Vivian T. Stevens; 2 grandsons Michael David (Jessica) Stevens and Michael (Jill) Cull both of Selma; 5 great-grandchildren Daxton and Dawson Stevens, Ethan Cull, and Jordan and Blake Collins; and sister Leona Foster of Richmond.
Friends may call on Tuesday December 18, 2012 from 11am to 12pm at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. S.R. 3 Muncie. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Collins Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Preceded in death by parents James and Clemie Stevens; a brother James Stevens ; and a sister Maria Howell.
