Henry L. Workman, 75, of Farmland, IN died Tuesday October 30, 2007 at his residence. He was born on March 3, 1932 in Muncie, IN the son of Charles and Lois Bailey (Jones) Workman. On February 21, 1951 in Muncie he married Beverly (Johnson) Workman who survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He retired from Nettle Creek School in 1997.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #0353. He enjoyed camping, fishing, aggravating and having fun with friends and family.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 56 years, Beverly Workman of Farmland; one son, David L. Workman of Muncie; three daughters, Vicki Pierce of Muncie; Brenda Golliher (husband: Tony) of Muncie; Peggy Reese (husband: Michael) of Spring Hill, TN; four granddaughters and two grandsons, Nicole Workman of Muncie; Kiersten Neal (husband: Jim) of Gaston, IN; Timothy Golliher (wife: Tabitha) of Muncie; Kara Keith (husband: Mark) of Muncie; Jeremy Reese (wife: Riley) of Columbia, TN; Megan Reese of Waco, TX; five great-granddaughters, Abby, Haliegh, Madison, Berlynn and Ashlynn; Four great-grandsons, Seth, Corbin, Raef, and Bowen; one sister, Judy Williams of Muncie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Clarence Bailey, one sister, Colleen Timmons, and one granddaughter, Stephanie Reese.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday November 3, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. The Delaware County Honor Guard will honor with military rites at the cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ball Memorial Hospice, Riley Hospital, or Hillcroft. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
