Herbert D. Gray, age 93, of Hartford City, passed away Saturday morning on December 16th, 2023 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 6th, 1930 in Blackford county, Indiana, and was the son of the late Dallas H. and Dorothy Agnes (Younce) Gray.

He served the Borg-Wagner Corp for 40 years. Herbert was a past member of the Hartford City Lions Club and also Independent Order of Foresters.

He is survived by two sons, Michael D. (wife-Jill) of Olivet, Michigan and James P. (wife-Tresa) Gray of Hartford City; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellabelle Gray; two sisters, Delta and Barbara Sue Gray.

Visitation for Herbert are at Garden View Funeral Home on December 21st. 2023 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. The service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor John Kevin officiating. Burial will take place after the service at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
