Herbert L. Long, 76, of Muncie, IN died Sunday March 16, 2008 at Brookside Haven in Muncie. He was born on April 9, 1931 the son of Paul A. and Lena M. (Herbert) Long.
He attended Four Square Church in Muncie. He enjoyed going to church and visiting with people. He also enjoyed going to McDonalds. When he was younger he enjoyed making and selling pot holders. Years ago, he sold newspapers downtown Muncie.
Surviving relatives include two sisters, Cora F. Schuyler of Muncie; Joella M. Grow of Charlestown, IN; one brother, Paul Long (wife: Virginia) of Muncie; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Long of California and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 20, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Lane Fairchild will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
