Homer C. Fannin Sr, 84, of Parker City, IN. went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 29, 2008 at Parker Health Care. He was born on December 12, 1923 in Morehead KY, the son of Arlie and Carrie (Howard) Fannin. On May 26, 1945 he married his loving wife Lydia (Binion) Fannin who precedes him in death.
Homer was a fan of NASCAR racing. He enjoyed college basketball, hunting and baseball. He greatly enjoyed his grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include his sons; J.R. Fannin ( wife Jennie) of Selma, IN., Kenneth Fannin (wife Linda) of Muncie, IN. Harry Fannin ( wife Debbie) of Muncie, IN. Michael (wife Marsha) Fannin of Winchester, IN. Carey Fannin (wife Debra) of Selma, IN. 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lydia Fannin, parents Arlie and Carrie Fannin, two brothers; Ralph DeBoard, Charles DeBoard, three sister; Maymie Davis, Kathleen Ward, Goldie Erndt; one granddaughter Melissa K. Fannin
Services will be at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday April 2, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Rusty Clements will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Tuesday April 1, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
