H. Keith Salisbury, 71, of Muncie passed away unexpectedly Monday morning March 23rd, 2009 at his winter home in Nokomis, Florida. He was born to Homer Roy and Dorothy Irene (Smith) Salisbury in Muncie, Indiana on March 4th, 1938.
Keith retired in 1997 from Guide Corporation in Anderson, Indiana after 38 years of service as an engineer. He was a devoted family man who was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Keith loved cooking, gardening, NASCAR, and entertaining. He was especially adept at building and repairing nearly anything and helped many people with their special projects over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Marjorie A. (Hayden) Salisbury, four children Monte Salisbury, Muncie; Martin (wife: Cheryl) Salisbury, Trinity, AL; Kelly (husband: Mike) Holloway, Riverside, OH; Robie (girlfriend: Kathy Anderson), Anderson, IN; Three step-children Denise (husband: Steve) Lents, Indianapolis, IN; Douglas (wife: Kathy) White, Muncie, IN; Andrew White, Carmel, IN; sister Phyllis (husband: Ron) Quakenbush, Yorktown, IN; mother-in-law Mary K. Hayden, Muncie, brother-in-law Butch (wife: Rose) Hayden, Kalamazoo, MI, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Judy Brown, and twin infant sisters.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday March 28th, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until Noon before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to ARF 1209 W.
