Hooper Howard Crabtree of Selma, Indiana passed away at the age of 89 at Parker City Health and Rehab in Parker City, Indiana on Sunday, May 9, 2021. He was born on February 3, 1932 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Alton and Ina (Pile) Crabtree.

Hooper married Osie Hatfield on August 17, 1957 in Overton County, Tennessee. He worked as a farm hand for Ronald Keesling Farm and proudly served in the United States Army from December 8, 1953 until December 7, 1955. He attended Pilgrim Nazarene Church in Muncie, Indiana. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.

Hooper is survived by his wife, Osie (Hatfield) Crabtree of Selma, Indiana; sons, Gary Crabtree (Donna) of Muncie, Indiana and David Crabtree (Pam) of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Earl Crabtree (Jean) of Jamestown, Tennessee; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Hooper was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Ina (Pile) Crabtree; brothers, Boyd Crabtree and Roy Crabtree; and granddaughter, Kendra Crabtree.

The family would like to thank Parker City Health and Rehab and Heart to Heart Hospice for all of the loving care given to Hooper.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home and with Military Honors.
