Obituary

Howard James Gregory died Saturday, December 16, 2006, at his residence following a sudden illness.
Howard was born July 5, 1918, to parents Miley Gregory and Lula Wright Gregory. He spent most of his life in Muncie.
He attended Muncie schools and graduated from Muncie Trade School as a machinist.
He was in the Navy and was a member of The American Legion Post 0387 in Gaston.
Howard worked at Muncie Gear and Borg Warner for 50 loyal years both in production and supervision positions. He was a member of UAW 287.
He enjoyed sports and was a avid Bearcat, Colts, and Pacers fan. He was very proud of his family and particularly enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren. Until just recently, due to failing health, Howard enjoyed riding his bicycle and being a mall walker.
Survivors include daughter Rita Howard (husband - Roger) of Richmond, granddaughter Jessica Harwick (husband - Jason), great grandchildren Kaelyn and James Harwick, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Marsh Gregory, his parents, sisters Flora Estrem, Lydia Walters, Josie Collins, and Maude Truax, and brothers Earl and Clarence Gregory.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303, with Pastor Jeff Veach officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
