Howard Jarvis, 88, of Muncie, IN died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Liberty Village in Muncie, IN. He was born on February 2, 1924 the son of Grandvil and Velma (Thurman) Jarvis. On August 27, 1973 he married Nova (Bertram) Jarvis.

Howard enjoyed fishing, gardening, and all types of nature activities. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Muncie. He was the owner of A1 Home Improvements for 55 years.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Nova Jarvis of Muncie, IN; four sons, Howard Lee Jarvis (Barbara) of California; Harold Williams (Brenda) of Florida; Jerry Williams (Pam) of Muncie, IN; Mike Williams (Becky) of Muncie, IN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2012 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
