Jack Eugene Hutson, 91 of Muncie, died late Wednesday evening, February 21, 2018 at Morrison Woods Health Campus. He was born April 20, 1926 in Bridgeport, OH and was the son of the late Lester Pete & Bessie (Maines) Hutson.

Jack proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII on a destroyer escort. He was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed fishing with his family. Jack worked for 36 years as an engineer for Ball Corporation and owned and operated Cabin Craft Maintence with his brother-in-law until his retirement in 1998. He served as Scout Master for Troop 44 and Explorers Post 44. Jack was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, for over 70 years where he taught Sunday School.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Fannie Pauline (Dunevant) Hutson of Muncie; a son James Eugene Hutson (Carolyn) of Muncie; a granddaughter Kristina Ann Hutson of Muncie; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Jean Hutson; four brothers Raymond, Richard, Robert and William Hutson; five sisters Lucille Fowler, Irene Harris, Patty Kissick, Mary Flannery and Roberta Brown.

Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and the Delaware County Honor Guard following the service Sunday at the funeral home.
