Jack Ray Rhoades, 69, of Yorktown, IN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday November 10, 2007 at Willowbend Living Center in Muncie, IN. He was born on April 4, 1938 in Muncie, IN the son of John S. and Audrey Bessie (Stafford) Rhoades. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Joyce (Bradbury) Rhoades.
Jack was a member of Bethel United Baptist Church in Muncie. He retired from Borg Warner in 1990 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed his cars and riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his wife, he left behind one daughter, Tammy Rhoades (husband: Randy Wisehart) of Richmond, IN; two sons, John I. Rhoades (wife: Carole) of Yorktown; Randy Rhoades (wife: Tayna) of Chandler, AZ; three step-daughters, Lisa Weber (husband: Vaughn) of Muncie, IN; Missy Nelson of Muncie; Leslie Hughes (husband: Todd) of Cowan, IN; one step-son, Dennis May of Selma, IN; five grandchildren, Brittney, Bryce, and Brennan Rhoades all of Yorktown; Savannah and Wyatt Rhoades both of Chandler, AZ; fifteen step-grandchildren, Kori Curtis (Weber); Tavia; Cinder; Rosie; and Zannah Weber all of Muncie; William; Nathaniel; Issac; Isabelle; and Alexander Hughes; Brandon, Devon, Bowen, Kimber and Dennessa May; two brothers, John R. Rhoades (wife: Elaine) of Muncie, IN; Larry Rhoades (wife: Pat) of Muncie, IN; one sister, Joyce (Rhoades) Bradbury of Garden Grove, CA; four nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday November 16, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Ralph Holt Davis will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. service time.
