Jack Simpson, 78, passed away on Sunday May 22, 2022  at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on July 12, 1943 in Lynchburg, TN. He was the son of the late Paul and Jesse "Philpot" Simpson.

He owned J.D. Simpson Insulation, Drywall, Driveway & Sealing. He worked for Texaco as a maintenance man.

Jack married Mary "Dargo" on August 31, 1973. They were married 48 years.

He also enjoyed scrabble, camping, fishing, horses and hunting. He was also a member of the Albany Lions Club, Dunkirk Elks and he also was a leader for the Delaware County 4-H Horse and Pony.

Together they raised their family Kevin (Karmen) Cooper, Jeff Cooper,  Chris Simpson, Jerrilyn (Steve) Darnell, Melissa (Terry) Glidden and Denise Gutierrez-Simpson. Grandchildren Kyle, Cory, Chris, Trace, Morgan, Tiffany (Chris), Casey, Great Grandchild Kinley. Sister Virginia Houser and He also enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Bud Simpson and Van Simpson, sister Florence Simpson and grandson Kaleb Gates.

The family would like to thank, Brighton Hospice and staff, McKayla Norris, Jennifer Cox and Jessica Thomas for the wonderful care that they gave to Jack.
