Jacob C. Copley, 60, of Muncie, IN passed away Monday. November 13, 2006 at his residence with his wife by his side. He was born March 25, 1946 in Nora, VA to the late Vernard O. and Mary L. Copley. He was raised in Cleveland, OH and Carbo, VA. He moved to Muncie in 1960. In 1965 he graduated from Muncie Central, and from the Indiana Business College. He worked for Overhead Door for a few years, then went to Warner Machine for a few years, sold insurance for National Life Insurance, worked as a Pinkerton Man at Westinghouse in Muncie, worked at the Rooster Tail Bar before working for Laborers International Union of North America Local #1112 for over 20 years as their office manager before retiring on December 31, 2001. Mr. Copley then started Jay`s Texas Hold`em in January of 2005. He also belonged to the Moose in Muncie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Wanda S. Copley, step-son, Robert Line of Muncie, daughter, Kim Parrish of Greensboro, NC, daughter, Kim (husband - Gary) Thomas of Hartford City, step-daughter, Vanessa (husband - David) Copley of Muncie; two brothers, Vernard H. Copley of Muncie, David (wife - Vannessa) Copley of Muncie; four sisters, Jessica (husband - Bill) Miller of Muncie, Sarah (husband - Larry) Clark of Indianapolis, Mary (husband - Nick) Tutorow of Fort Worth, TX, Sandy (husband - Tom) Maxwell of Virginia, grandson, Derek Thomas of Muncie, several nieces, nephews and friends. Also the church family at Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle.He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Pastor Michael Perdue and Brother Carl Holton officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the funeral home.
