James Max Fox, 75, of Muncie, IN passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born on August 6, 1934 in Seymour, IN, to the late Louis W. and Vivian P. (Poore) Fox. James is a 1952 Muncie Central graduate. On May 8, 1954 James married Elizabeth Ann Wessol in Terre Haute, IN.
James was employed as a project engineer with Ball Corporation for 45 years, retiring in 1997. James loved to travel, both personally and professionally. He much enjoyed vacations at Myrtle Beach. As well James enjoyed drawing, yard work, and wood crafting. But above all, he very much loved being with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Fox; their four children: Teresa Hadad (husband, Jerry) of Richmond, IL; Barbara Glaser of Muncie; Mike Fox (girlfriend, Linda) of Austin, TX; and Mary Johnson (husband, Jim) of Muncie; two sisters: Eileen Orosz of Muncie and Margaret Hiatt (husband, Steve) of Losantville, IN; six grandchildren: Derek Moore; Stephanie Hadad; Rachelyn Hadad; Josh Johnson; Hannah Johnson; and Brendan Fox; great-granddaughter Audrey Moore; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ann Marie Dale; and nephew Tom Dale.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1200 W. Riverside, Muncie, on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Kiefer officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie.
