James "Jim" H. Bailey, 66, of Muncie, passed away at 6:09 am on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare in Muncie.  He was born in Winchester, Indiana, on Tuesday, November 24, 1959, to Russell W. and Doris E. (Donat) Bailey.

Jim attended Farmland United Methodist Church from a young age.  He was a very likable guy that loved to play baseball in junior high where he was a pitcher.  He was also into art and took a liking to drawing and painting in his free time.  He shared a passion for music, both classical and rock n' roll, and even played the guitar.

He is survived by his, son, Bryan (Alisha) Edwards of Yorktown; sisters, Sandy (Doug) Meranda of Muncie, Janet (Barry) Earley of Marion, and Debbie Richie of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Kyle Mosier, Quentin Cahue and Marshall Edwards; great-grandchildren, Zeke and Aliza Mosier; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susie Rose.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 IN-3, Muncie, Indiana 47303.

A service celebrating Jim's life will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Barry Earley officiating.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
