James B. Hoeing, 70, of Muncie passed away on Monday July 21, 2008 at his residence. He was born on November 3, 1937 the son of Erwin and Catherine (Johantgen) Hoeing. Jim married his loving wife Susan (Gallagher) Hoeing on June 12, 1965 in Indianapolis, IN.
He retired from Marsh Supermarket after 42 years of service. He worked for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 39 years. Jim enjoyed bowling, gardening and most of all spoiling his children and grandchildren. Jim was a veteran of the US Army from 1960-1962. He attended the Assemblies of God Church in Muncie.
Surviving relatives includes; wife Susan of Muncie; two daughters, Julie (Mike) Van Duzer of Indianapolis; Mary Katherine (Brian) Condon of Kokomo; one son, James Stephen ( Beth) Hoeing of Franklin, IN; mother; Catherine Hoeing of Indianapolis; sisters Mary (Quentin) Francescon of Indianapolis; Sister Louise Hoeing of Indianapolis; brothers Paul Hoeing (Beth) of Winston-Salem, NC; Tom (Anne) Hoeing of Rye, NH; sisters Kathleen (Ed) Tinder of Indianapolis; Beth (Jeff) Cretors of Lenexa, KS, grandchildren; Zach and Holly Van Duzer, Kyle; Grant and Audrey Condon; Grace and Taryn Hoeing and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Erwin Hoeing
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday July 24, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. State Rd. 3 in Muncie. Pastor Carlton Bowden of Northside Assembly Church will officiate the service. Visitation will be on Thursday July 24, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Memorial contributions can be made to Ball Memorial Hospice.
