James E. Stigall, 80, of Muncie, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Bethel Pointe Health Campus following a courageous battle with cancer and kidney disease.

Jim was born April 23, 1936 in Burnside, Kentucky to the late Jesse and Ruby (Hollars) Stigall. Jim attended Center High School. He retired from Taurus Tool and Die in 1993. He also owned and operated Stigall Mower Service. He enjoyed owning his own business and was one of his favorite pass-times. He also enjoyed motorcycles and auto racing. In Jim''s younger years he enjoyed bowling and golf. Jim was a member of the Full Gospel Temple Church, the Moose Lodge, and the Eagles Lodge.

Jim is survived by two sons, Robert Stigall of Muncie and Jeff Stigall of Indianapolis; seven step-children, Ken Rozelle (wife Judy) of Coatesville, Kevin Rozelle of Bowling Green, KY, Chacita Rozelle of Bowling Green, KY, Victoria Armstrong (husband Steve) of Muncie, Richard Ross (wife Jodi of Albany, KY, Aaron Ross (wife Renee) of Muncie, and Todd Ross (friend Bill Schmuelling) of Anderson; three sisters, Willa Dean Maddy of Uniontown, OH, Peggy Buchanan of Yorktown, and Lillian McFall of Port Charlotte, FL; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.

Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Sue (Harker) Stigall earlier this year; a son, Jerry Stigall; a daughter, Jana Collins; and an infant grandson, James "JR" Stigall.

A funeral service to celebrate Jim''s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3 in Muncie. Pastor Denny Helton will officiate. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Garden View Funeral Home.
