IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Bud"

James "Bud" Martin Slaven, 72, of Muncie, went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Eve with family by his side. Bud was born September 25, 1947 in Oneida, TN, to the late Francis Edward and Neva (Simpson) Slaven.
Bud married the love of his life, Patsy Garrett, on November 19, 1966. Before he retired in 2013, he worked for Rock Tenn in Eaton for 43 years as a boiler operator. Bud was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, coworker, neighbor, and friend that will be missed by many. Those include his loving wife of which he just celebrated 53 years with, Patsy Slaven; son, Brad (Beth) Slaven, daughters: Christina (Jon) Nunemaker and Serena (Craig) Holtzclaw; siblings: Glenda Silvey, Mary Waters, Charles "Buddy" (Veda) Slaven, and Rob Slaven; 5 grandchildren: Kayla (Chad) McCluney, Tara (Matt) Pike, Danielle (Brock) Clark, Jasmine Haire, and Dakota Nunemaker; 4 great-grandchildren: Kaysean McCluney, Cameron Pike, Harper McCluney, and Karsyn Clark; and many nieces, and nephews.
