Obituary

Jane Vance, 72, passed away Thursday evening, May 28, 2009 at her daughter's home in Dunkirk following a lengthy battle with cancer. Jane was born in Dunkirk on September 24, 1936. She graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1954 and later moved to Albany where she lived most of her life.
She worked at Muncie Health Care for 27 years before retiring due to health concerns and during the 1970's managed the Pizza King (later known as Homestead Pizza) in Albany.
Jane enjoyed puzzles and cook-outs, but most important to her was spending time with her family. She will be remembered as being kind, a hard worker, and always thoughtful of others.
Survivors include her children, Steve Ann DeVoe (companion, Jeff), of Albany, Roberta Coleman (husband, David) of Albany, Johnny Vance (wife, Jonelle), of Woodstock, GA, and Jo Ann Dunnington (husband, Cliff) of Dunkirk; a brother, Skip Ingle (wife, Martha), of Dunkirk; ten grandchildren; thirteen Great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Ingle; her mother, Rachel Ingle; a sister, Ruth Ann Anderson; and two sons-in-law, Danny DeVoe and Steve Epperson.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany.
Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Riley Hospital for Children or Cancer Services of Delaware County.
