Janet E. Greer, 80, of Muncie, IN died Saturday June 4, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Muncie, IN. She was born on October 14, 1930 in Eaton, IN the daughter of Floyd Frank and Pearl (Auker) Jones. On April 1, 1950 she married Charles S. Greer who preceded her in death.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all her children, grandchildren and brothers and sisters. She was a member of the Church of God in Muncie. She often was thinking about others before herself. She enjoyed yard sales, taking walks, and arts and crafts.
Surviving relatives include three sons, Michael S. Greer (Jeanne) of Yorktown, IN; Brian S. Greer (Mindy) of Muncie, IN; Mark D. Greer (Elaine) of Selma, IN; four brothers, Bob Jones (Betty) of Carey, IN; Gerald Jones (Jean) of Muncie, IN; Rodney Jones (Phyllis) of Parker City, IN; Bruce Jones of Gaston, IN; two sisters, Patricia Noble (Larry) of Muncie, IN; Judy Myers of Albany, IN; nine grandchildren, Chris Greer of Bloomington, IN; Nick Greer (Melissa) of Muncie, IN; Katie Edgell (Adam) of Yorktown, IN; Brian Greer, II (Megan) of Speedway, IN; Matt Greer of Berne, IN; Brittany Greer of Muncie, IN; Josh Greer, Logan Greer, Emily Greer all of Selma, IN; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday June 8, 2011 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN.
