IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet Eileen
Wiswasser
February 22, 1934 – May 16, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Eileen Wiswasser (Swartz) on May 16, 2024, in Muncie, Indiana, at the age of 90. Janet was born on February 22, 1934, in the serene town of St. Marys, Ohio, to Edward and Leota Swartz (Schaefer).
Janet's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, creativity, and cherished memories. Away from work, she found solace and joy in gardening, tending to many species and varieties. She was also an avid crafter, delighting in sharing her talents with loved ones.
Janet's greatest joy came from beach vacations, where she could bask in the warmth of the sun and create cherished memories with her family. Despite her love for photography, she often stood behind the camera, ensuring every moment was captured for future generations.
Janet is survived by her sons, Dane Wiswasser (wife, Alya); David Wiswasser (partner, Shirley); and Brett Wiswasser. Her daughters, Beth Miller (husband, David), Heidi Pease (Husband, Jason), and Amy Noble (husband, Kevin). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, John Wiswasser (wife, Alison), Melissa Eakes (husband, Adam), Jenna Wasson (husband, David), Drew Granger, Polina Artemeva, Emma and Carly Pease, Shaun Noble (wife, Fannie), Tabitha Noble, Ashlee Hughes (husband, John), and Adam Miller; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Janet is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Wiswasser; her parents, Edward and Leota Swartz (Schaefer); sisters, Carole Swartz, Marilyn Poling, and Joann Heiby; and 2 grandsons, Jared Granger and Kevin Noble Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Garden View Funeral Home on May 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held an hour prior from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM with Pastor Josh Johnson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
A special thank you to the nursing and aide staff at Morrison Woods Nursing Home and Heart-to-Heart Hospice, especially, Megan, Sarah, Dee, and Clare.
