Janette L. McCarty, 64 Muncie, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. She was born to the late Charles and Leila Harker.

Janette loved being outside; she enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and bird watching. She loved her family.

Janette is survived by a special friend Roxanne Garvin; son Adam McCarty; ex-husband Ed McCarty and siblings Becky (Mike) of Tennessee, George (Thelma) Harker, Gerald (Lynn) Harker, Rhonda Garretson and Jimmie (Becky) Harker. She is proceeded in death by both parents; brother Chuck Harker and David Harker and a sister Ona Hendershot.

The Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00pm at Garden View Funeral Home. A burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Gardens of Memory.
