Janey Lee Wade, 66, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at her home in Muncie.

Janey was born October 18, 1949 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Bob and Grace Wade. Janey was a Muncie native her entire life graduating from Muncie Central High School in 1967. She went on to attend Ball State University and was a United States Air Force Veteran. She worked for the United States Postal Service in Muncie for 23 years, retiring in 2008. Janey loved her cats, reading, bowling, and playing games with her family.

Janey is survived by her son, John Gibiser; grandson, Dakotah Winters; two sisters, Pam Adams and Becky Thornburg (companion John Almond); three nephews, David Adams (wife Cindy), Adam Thornburg, and Jacob Thornburg; two nieces, Julie Tolliver and Jennifer Betters (husband Jason); and three great-nieces, Katelynn Betters, Kelly Tolliver, and Riley Adams.

Janey was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Grace Wade; brother-in-law, Tom Thornburg; and a special friend, Kim Meredith.

A memorial service to celebrate Janey''s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3 in Muncie.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember two hours prior to services from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Garden View Funeral Home.
