.Janice Kay Hutchens, 73, of Farmland, IN died Tuesday October 19, 2010 at the Willow Bend Nursing Home in Muncie, IN. She was born on March 24, 1937 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Fred and Jane (Wert) Hobson. On October 20, 1956 in Muncie, IN she married Donald M. Hutchens who preceded her in death in 1999.
She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, horseback riding, bowling, baking cakes, and knitting.
Survivors include two sons, James L. Haffner (April) of Farmland, IN; Jeffrey Hutchens (Tammy) of Portland, IN; three daughters, Joanna Compton (Joe) of Sheridan, IL; Julie Collins (Eddie) of Eaton, IN; Jill Bailey (Owen) of Farmland, IN; one step-daughter, Diane Cartwright (Bruce); nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandchild, and two step-sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 21, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Jim Compton will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday October 20, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
