Jason Scott Lyons, 42, formerly of Muncie, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 in Tampa, FL after a brief illness. The son of the late Francis and Mary Maxine (Fishers) Lyons, Jason was born on May 5, 1969 in Muncie, IN. Jason was a graduate of Avon High School, Class of 1987, and graduated in 2001 from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He loved basketball, football and the Dallas Cowboys. Jason loved the ocean, beaches and enjoyed his many trips to Hawaii.
Surviving relatives include brother, Matthew Lyons, of Muncie; sisters, Rhonda(Larry) Johnson, of Anderson, Robin Ross, of Muncie, Nancy Porter, of Ontario, Ohio and Susie (Steve) Craig, of Frankfort, IN; 9 nieces and nephews; 4 great nieces and nephews.
Jason is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-laws, Lloyd "Bud" Porter and Fred A. Schloot
Private services and burial will be held at the Gardens of Memory Chapel at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
