.Jeff "Army" Armantrout, 45, of Gaston, IN. passed away Wednesday August 20, 2008 at his home. He was born May 12, 1963 in Muncie, IN, the son of Richard J. and Jane (Colter) Armantrout.
He worked for Long''s Excavating Company for 23 years. He loved NASCAR and fishing. Special achievements; Athletic- Hershel Brown Sportsmanship Award.
Surviving relatives include a son, Andrew Armantrout of Gaston, IN, daughter, Emily Armantrout of Gaston, IN, mother, Jane Armantrout of Gaston, IN, brother, Michael J. Armantrout of Gaston, IN, two sisters, Susan Jane Lee (husband John) of Muncie, IN. Jo Ann Carver (husband Gary) of Mooreland, IN. One aunt, one uncle, three nieces and one nephew, two cousins, and the mother of his children, Lori Armantrout.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Armantrout and grandparents, Frances and Mary Colter.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 23, 2008 at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. State Road 3 Muncie. Rev. Rodney Eiler and Ron Hoopengarner will officiate the services. Viewing will be on Friday August 22, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana. In Leu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the trust account for Emily and Andrew at WGE Credit Union. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
