Jeffrey L. Boze, 66, of Muncie passed away on Saturday March 8, 2014 at Signature Healthcare, Muncie after an extended illness. Born on March 1, 1948 in Indianapolis,IN, he was the son of the late Gene and Elsie (Post) Boze.
Jeffrey was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of 1967. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, serving as a hand to hand combat trainer for pilots going to Vietnam. He was a competitive bodybuilder and earned the title of Mr. Indiana in 1965. On November 7, 1967 he married Mary J. "Pixie" Pierce in Indianapolis. He was a member of Glad Tidings Church and formerly Lesea Ministries and the Feed the Hungry Program. Jeffrey owned and operated Silhoutee National Health and Modern Lady Spa. He was also a songwriter and musician and pianist. "His greatest quest in life was to spread the Gospel of Jesus."
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years Pixie of Muncie; daughters Emily (Harry) Lawson and Anna (John) Capp of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Cody Quinlan and Chloe (Zach) Springer both of Muncie, Leah and Courtney Barker both of Dallas, TX and Sommer Wallace of Muncie; great-granddaughter Carrigan Springer of Muncie; sister-in-law Cheri Clevenger of Nashville,IN brother-in-law Pat (Dianne) Pierce of Hoquiam, WA; nephews Chris Powers of Nashville, IN and Mike (Jenny) Pierce of Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Teyy Boze.
A graveside service for Jeffrey will be held at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday March 12, 2014 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
