Jennielee Rhoades, 77, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born December 31, 1931 in Muncie, the daughter of Charles Wesley Shreves III and Dolly (Cooper) Shreves.
Jennielee was a 1950 graduate of Muncie Central High School. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church, where she enjoyed fellowship with friends. She loved her animals, yard work and flowers, but mostly being with her grandchildren and family.
Mrs. Rhoades is survived by her husband, Melvin E. Rhoades; one son, Robert Allen "Bob" Shreves; one step-son, Terry Rhoades; a grandson, Danny Rhoades, (wife-Esther); two great grandchildren, William and Mia Rhoades; one sister, Freida Marks, (husband-Sonny) and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles W. Shreves IIII and a sister, Gladys Bookout.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Marvin Hahn officiating.
Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Road 3, Muncie.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 or one hour prior to services Wednesday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
