Obituary

Jerry Lee Kendall passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, January 10, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 29, 1936 to the late Benjamin F. Kendall and Martha M. (Krauss) Kendall in St. Marys, OH.

Jerry graduated from Burris and served in the United States Army. He drove a truck for 35 years and worked in maintenance for 10 years while employed with Commercial Motor Freight of Indiana and Wes-Del High School. He attended New Horizon Nazarene Church. He was a 60-year member of the Eagles Lodge 767 in St. Marys, OH, the Moose Lodge 33 in Muncie, IN, Teamster 135, and the Legion of the Moose in Muncie, IN.

Jerry was a hard working man who believed family was the important thing in life. He adored racing, IU basketball, working on cars, hunting, and fishing. Jerry was known for his smile and sense of humor.

Jerry is survived by his daughters, Cyndi McCorkle of New Castle, IN, Holly Kendall (Anthony) of Indianapolis, IN, and Martha Young (Jeff) of Anderson, IN.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin Kendall and Martha M. (Krauss) Kendall; wife, Diana Kendall; son, Jerry Allen Kendall; and son-in-law, Donnie McCorkle.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home. Services will be officiated by Michael Overbay and held with Military Honors. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Effective Monday, November 22, 2020, Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery are limited to a maximum of 25 people wearing masks inside or outside. Once the maximum is reached, additional visitors will be permitted for entry only as others exit. Thank you for your cooperation.
