Obituary

Jerry Wayne Reynolds, 63, of Eaton, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital after years of heart problems. He was born on October 18, 1946 in Jay County, IN to Thelma Louise (Grayson) and the late Freddie Reynolds. Jerry is a 1964 graduate of Eaton High School. On November 26, 1965 he married his love, Lois J. Main in Eaton. Afterwards, Jerry enlisted in the Army''s Indiana National Guard where he served honorably from 19661972 as a Staff Sergeant.
While in the National Guard, Jerry was employed with Hartford Glass Company as an apprentice glazer. Jerry also worked for Chevrolet New Venture Gear in Muncie for 34 years on the transfer line and in the shipping & receiving department. He retired in 2001. Jerry also farmed for many years; very much enjoyed carpentry; and loved to fish. Jerry also attended Union Chapel Church.
Jerry is survived by his mother; loving wife of 44 years, Lois Reynolds; their children: Monica Lykins (husband, David) of Portland; Michelle Reynolds (friend, Michelle Dawson & her daughter, Brook) of Hartford City; and Amy Davenport (friend, Jon Baker) of Muncie; 5 grandchildren: Tony McCowan; Todd McCowan (wife, Cammy); Cameron Davenport; Jacob Lykins; and Jaelynn Lykins; sister Janet Burris (husband, Lee) of Dunkirk; brother Larry Joe Reynolds (wife, Lois) of Redkey; and several loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Glenn Greiner officiating. An additional hour of visitation will precede the service at 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military rites honored by Delaware County Honor Guard.
