Jessie S. Thomason, 84, of Muncie, passed away at 9:40 am, on Saturday, August 9, 2026, in his home. He was born in Liberty, Tennessee, on February 18, 1942, to Howard and Hettie (Summers) Thomason. He married Carolyn Rose in 1972, and she preceded him in 2014.

Jessie loved taking care of his family and home. He always took time collecting, working, and tinkering on his cars. When he was able to take an afternoon, he’d go bike riding or go fishing, where you’d find him at White River or Westside Park.

He is survived by his five children, Tommy Plank, Clyde (Cindy) Plank, Theresa, Michelle Thomason, and Kevin Tuttle; sister, Sue Trusty; sister-in-law, Erma Tuttle; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Thomason; son, John Tuttle; brothers and sisters, Frank, Paul, Joe, Becky, and Charlotte.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

A funeral service will follow immediately after at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
