Jewell Davis, age 83, of Gaston, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born December 12, 1927 in Benham , KY to Dewey and Rose Lee (Smith) Jeffers. She was a homemaker, and member od Eastside Baptist Church. She was also a member of Oder of the Eastern Star #104. She married Arlie Davis on December 5, 1948 and he survives along with son, Dalton (Lana) Davis; daughters, Linda (William) Peterson, Verlene (Warren) Smith, and Patricia (Donnie) Bradshaw. She is also survived by her grandchildren Eddie, Eric, Lisa, Allen, Jeremiah, Patience, Donnie, Amanda, Dwayne, MaryAnn, and Jamie; great grandchildren Weslee, Nathan, Daniel, Taylor, Jamie, Cory, Katalin, Kaylee, Miley, Cade, Gage and Riot; sister, Othelia Lawson; brothers, Benton (Frankie) Jeffers, and Jimmy (Ruth) Jeffers; special nephew, Randy Jeffers and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Adam Davis; brothers Osborne, Billy; one brother in infancy; and sister Verda. Funeral services will be Friday, June 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN with burial to follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
