L. Joan White, 77, of Muncie, IN went Home to join her loving husband and heavenly Father Saturday March 20, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. She was born on November 13, 1932 the daughter of George Ora and Dolly Foley Bloss. On August 27, 1950, she married her childhood sweetheart Hilton Talbert White and they raised four children.
Family was her whole life. She enjoyed spending time with all her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, mushroom hunting and her flower and vegetable gardens. She appreciated fine arts, played the piano and cooked gourmet meals. She worked at Ball Corporation and Marsh Warehouse in the 1970''s. She also owned her own print shop.
Surviving relatives include her four children, Yhvonne Swain (Tupper) of Shamrock Lakes, IN; Mike White (Diane) of Monroe, NC; Janean Christie of Hartford City, IN; Brian White (Janet) of Eaton, IN; brother, Zack Bloss of St. Joe, MO; June Stockstad (Phil) of St. Joe, MO; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leon Bloss and a granddaughter Kimberly White.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 23, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Pastor Rusty Clements will officiate the service. Visitation will be on Monday March 22, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
