JoAnn Jinks of Farmland, Indiana passed away at the age of 73 at Pine Knoll in Winchester, Indiana early Wednesday, June 9, 2021. She was born on December 5, 1947 in Winchester, Indiana to the late Rex and Mary (Charles) Johnson.

JoAnn graduated from Winchester High School in 1967. She met Leonard Jinks, and they married on November 17, 1983. JoAnn spent 23 years working as a Machine Operator at Borg Warner in Muncie, Indiana until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Little House on the Prairie, Matlock, and Hallmark movies kept her entertained as well. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her grandchildren meant so very much to her.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 37 years, Leonard Jinks of Farmland, Indiana; two daughters, Shelly White-Joyce (husband, Mickey) of Muncie, Indiana and Nicole Jinks (fiancé, Geoff Cook) of Yorktown, Indiana; four grandchildren, Kobe, Mickaela, and Elijah Joyce and Colin Cook; two great grandchildren, Ryder Joyce and Katerina Dunham; one brother, Floyd Johnson (wife, Beverly); one sister, Phyllis Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Mary (Charles) Johnson; one son, Chad White; two brothers, Joe Johnson and John Johnson; and one sister, Barbara Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home.
